Definitely had to give them a great review after I came in there Black Friday about purchasing a handgun for myself and Wade was incredibly patient, with me going all over the place about what I'm looking for in the next year to start my collection and SUPER knowledgeable! I came back in there the other day to look at some more I overlooked that he had shown me, I'm positive everyone else behind the counter is also knowledgeable as well but I definitely wanted to magnify the understanding and consideration for a woman who isn't sure what she wants! Ive always had anxiety about actually purchasing a handgun because of the stereotype gun-store staff treating people like "potential" customers. I definitely didn't get that feeling at all. “ Visiting my son in Dinwiddie, he had been telling me about a sporting goods shop he wanted to take me to, so we finally made it a point to go. Located in a strip mall, Dance's is unassuming from the outside, but they pack a lot into an overall surprisingly large space. My son was there to ask them to help replace a trigger on his AR-15, which they did free of charge. I walked around and looked at their offerings but kept being drawn to the handgun counter. Something unusual happened in this Petersburg gun store that evades gun stores in the NoVA area; the workers wanted to help me, and they were friendly while doing it. I was obviously not the only one who noticed this because this area was very well staffed and, even then, still had a patron per staff member most of the time I was there. I was interested in a subcompact for concealed carry and was able to hold all of the brands that I had researched. I finally settled on the one that felt best in my grip after asking to hold about 10 pistols.. I asked if they had a used one, and luckily, they did. A barely used model that knocked the price way down. Purchasing was very easy, and the background checks were rapid. I would not hesitate to return here for any firearm purchases, and for me, it is worth the drive to receive the type of service we did. ”
